How many make replacements does the world need?* Rake* Ant (and NAnt)* Python distutils* MSBuild* SConsOne for each environment? One Build Tool To Rule Them All? I'm not sure there's really a need for general-purpose tool.(I found someone else's opinion on the subject while I was looking for what MS called their .NET build tool)
Don't forget "Jam"
